Those we love must someday pass beyond our present sight... Must leave us and the world we know without their radiant light. But we know that like a candle their lovely light will surely shine to brighten up another place more perfect... more divine. And in the realm of Heaven where they shine so warm and bright. Our loved ones live forevermore in God’s eternal light.

Lisa is better known to her military friends and co-workers as 1SG Lisa I Andrews

Lisa was born March 22, 1965 in Saulte Ste. Marie, MI. She is the 2nd daughter of James L. Hatfield Sr & Delores Hatfield. She has an older sister Nancy Brooks and a younger brother James Hatfield Jr (wife Marlene). She has two nieces, Karen Siple and Melissa Floyd. She also has four nephews, Ryan Floyd, Matthew Floyd, James Hatfield III and Jacob Hatfield. She grew up in the town of Pickford Michigan, which is south of Saulte Ste. Marie. She joined the United States Army as a High School Senior and went to her Army Basic Training after graduating with her Pickford High School Class of 1983. She was active in many school activities, and in the Michigan State University's 4-H youth program. While in the Army Lisa excelled at everything she did. She obtained the rank of Sergeant First Class as the result of a Meritorious Promotion and then after several years she was promoted to the rank of First Sergeant. It should be noted that being meritoriously promoted to a senior rank in the United States Army is very rare and just shows how hard Lisa worked while she was serving our country. As an Army Recruiter she recieved so many awards and accolades that it would be impossible to mention them all without missing one. It would however, be important to mention that she was a "Ring" Recruiter. The United States Army Recruiter Ring was the highest award a recruiter could achieve at the time Lisa was in the Army, and extremly hard to achieve. She inspired everyone around her to do their very best, which is why she was such an excellent leader and Recruiting Company First Sergeant. Leading and inspiring her soldiers to do their very best was something she did so well because she believed all of her soldiers deserved her best. This is evident by their success. She retired from the United States Army after serving 22 years. Lisa was very proud of her service to our country and continued doing what she could as a civilian to help the recruiting command. After the military she worked for a company that helped the military recruit individuals to become soldiers in the army.

As a person, Lisa was the most warmest, generous and friendliest person anyone could ever know. When she smiled the whole room would light up! There was just something magical about her! She would have given you the last dime she had in her pocket if she thought it would make a difference for you. When Lisa started a project of any kind she always gave 110% to that project. Beside her very warm and friendly personality, Lisa believed that everything she did had to be done right! She said once that this was a quality she got from her parents. She often spoke of them and respected them very much! She valued what she had learned from them and believed she was the achiever she was because of them. I believe it is fair to say this was her way of saying thank you to them for everything they had done for her while she was growing up. She also spent a lot of time with her Sister who I believe was more than a Sister to her, she was her best friend. She enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews and could not talk enough about how much she loved them! She often told stories of her brother and sister and their antics growing up! I got the impression she really loved her family and they loved her as much in return. The loss of Lisa has been very hard for everyone who knew her. The reason is simple...If you knew her you loved her. It was just not possible to feel any other way about her. May God bless her family always, and may she rest in peace. A+1
